Day 94 of Full-Time Entrepreneurship

Channeling raw, unfocused energy into jet fuel

Last night I got booty-called at 1 AM by a girl I used to date. (This is already off to a strong start, I know.)

Naturally, I stayed up too late and woke up at almost noon feeling like a certified piece of shit. You know the drill: foggy brain, guilt, the usual "what am I doing with my life" spiral.

But then I remembered something Jesse Itzler said in a video I watched last night. He talked about a Navy SEAL who told him: never give your pain a voice. (https://youtu.be/6nFz_tXX8sM?si=nazeW5iqSajw6FZt)

Whenever someone asks how you're doing, your answer should always be: OUTSTANDING.

So there I was, literally peeing this morning, loudly saying “How are you doing?... OUTSTANDING!” — and then straight into the mirror. Oddly enough, it worked. I felt way better.

Today’s challenge? Facing the mountain.

Waking up and realizing how much you don’t know and how many skills you have to learn makes you want to procrastinate your entire life away. It’s that weird mental trap where you know the road is long, so you’re like, "Eh, what’s another day?"

I remember when I tore my Achilles in my early 30s. I’d been a gym rat for 10+ years, but even after I could walk again, it still took me two months to start lifting consistently again.

Because deep down, I knew it was going to be a long climb back to where I was. And when you know it’s a long road, it’s so easy to delay starting.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned — an "I'll start tomorrow" can turn into three years real quick.

(Ask me how long it took me to post my first YouTube video.)

Speaking of YouTube...

I literally have to start over. 8 months of "work" and now my videos are getting under 100 views. 😮‍💨

I jumped around topic-wise too much. I didn’t niche down. I thought, people will just like me for me.

Spoiler: That’s not how it works.

People binge creators because they want the same type of value over and over again. And honestly, if you look at any big personal development or success guru, they’re saying the exact same thing over and over — just repackaged a million different ways.

Different thumbnails, different titles, same core message.

Lesson learned.

On a lighter note, I impulsively put $100 on Brian Harman to win today at the Valero Open. As soon as I hit “Bet,” the man started playing like shit. 🫠

Universe: "You will not be a professional sports bettor."

(LMAO. I digress.)

Current Focus:
→ Becoming a beast at Premiere Pro.
→ Making sick videos like Kane Kallaway. (If you haven’t seen his stuff, dude’s a monster. - https://www.youtube.com/@kallawaymarketing)

I’m also working on some infographics to show the runway and drawdown rate of this full-time entrepreneur lifestyle... so y’all can see what I’m actually working with financially.

LOL, it’s gonna be eye-opening.

Final Thought:

I heard something yesterday that hit:

“Entrepreneurship sucks... but not as bad as having a job.”

For all of you out there in the trenches or thinking about leaving your 9-5 — yeah, it sucks sometimes. But it’s worth it.

Keep pushing yourself.

Keep having those internal breakthroughs.

Nothing is real and you’re going to die... so you might as well do something interesting while you're here.

See you next week.

Love,
Joe

🗓️ Current Goals

Reach 1,000 TikTok Subs

Took a break while rebalancing workload. Back at it this week

  • Learn to edit like a G so my videos go viral

  • Properly select a niche so my target audience can binge watch my stuff

Finish First Course

No title yet. I’ve got 2 more modules left to finalize.

  • How to break the limiting beliefs of “stuckness”

  • Get your nervous system to get comfortable with being seen and being massively successful

  • Make money “the easy part”

🚀 Tools I’m utilizing currently

  • ChatGPT: tried Grok, it doesn’t have the memory feature like ChatGPT does which makes it’s less helpful when you need to boot it back up. ChatGPT is absolutely fire for time saving.

  • DALL-E: Image ideation and generation (EG the newsletter thumbnail and inspirations for YouTube thumbs)

  • OneUP: for scheduling social media. Really solid platform. More of an up and coming so the price is still reasonable. Good analytics (I’m a data nerd) - https://www.oneupapp.io/

  • Canva: does the job for YT thumbs and marketing mats (not ready for the photoshop learning curve)

  • Premiere Pro: the madness starts today - bout to become a ninja at this
